The Centre communautaire et clinique universitaire en santé mentale et mieux-être (CCCUSMM) Bishop’s University offers two sections of services to the English and French populations of Sherbrooke:

- Community component
Services
Childhood/teenage years/families
All referrals begin with a meeting with the clinician to develop the reason for referral and to tailor services to your child’s or family’s needs – or to refer you to appropriate resources.
Psychological assessment
ADHD, mood disorder (depression, anxiety), cognitive potential, academic derogation, learning difficulties
Psychotherapy
- Parenting Coaching
- Difficulties in adapting to a daycare or school setting
- Relationship difficulties
- Difficulties in adapting to changes in family life (separation of parents, family reunification, arrival of a new child, illness of a family member)
- Behavioural problems (opposition, tantrums, aggression)
- School difficulties (attention problems, hyperactivity, impulsiveness)
- Difficulties in adapting to loss (break-up of a relationship, death of a loved one)
- Disturbances in mood, appetite or sleep
- Signs of anxiety (fears, anxiety attacks, phobias, trauma)
Adult clients
Therapy groups on various themes are offered on an ad hoc basis according to the needs expressed by the clientele who come into contact with the CCCUSMM, clinical component (e.g.: bereavement, psychological health, emotional management). At present, individual psychotherapy for adult clients is not offered.
Cost
The cost of assessment or psychotherapy sessions for children, adolescents and families is $20 per session. A receipt is issued at the end of each session for insurance purposes. Fees may be adjusted according to the client’s financial means.
Calendar
The clinic welcomes clients between September and May.
Location
The university clinic is located on the 3rd floor of the McGreer building on the Bishop’s University campus. Reduced parking rates are available to clients. Therapy and psychological health groups may be offered in the community (Lennoxville borough).

Important note
Please note that the clinical component of the CCCUSMM is not currently accepting new clients. For psychological services, we invite you to contact the psychosocial services of your CLSC. For emergency services, please go to the CHUS-Fleurimont or CHUS-Hôtel-Dieu emergency room. You can also consult the community services of the CCCUSMM.
