Does your organisation have an idea for a new product? Design an innovative product from the user’s point of view with a student team from the Université de Sherbrooke! A joint student team from the Université de Sherbrooke (in engineering and management) will conduct interviews with the future users of your product in order to create with you a prototype that is truly adapted to their needs.
You must first submit an idea for an innovative product. The engineering and management student team will carry out a design thinking process. At the end of the process, the team will provide you with a low-intensity prototype of your product (a scaled-down model), improved according to the indications of the people identified as future users.
The projects are carried out by student teams in the bachelor’s degree of the Faculté de génie and the École de gestion at the Université de Sherbrooke, as part of the course IMC 155 – Création de produits innovants. The work will be carried out using the Design Thinking approach, under the supervision of a professor-engineer.
The student team does the work free of charge, but the client must be involved in the process.
Projects can be submitted 12 months of the year. The work is done during one academic term.
