Pilot project in the Techniques de laboratoire : biotechnologies at Cégep de Sherbrooke
This pilot project aims to develop and test a college research-study pathway in the Techniques de laboratoire: biotechnologies program at Université de Sherbrooke. This will allow students to participate in research projects in university labs, benefitting from student-researcher mentorship in many research laboratories from the Université de Sherbrooke and Bishop’s University.
The implementation of this new pathway will enable to develop and stimulate a scientific research culture among students at the college level. It aims to grow the interest and academic perseverance in fields leading to scientific careers.
Ultimately, this pilot project will pave the way for the implementation of research-study paths in other programs at Cégep de Sherbrooke.
