Requests for less than $15,000
In addition to the annual PRESE project competition, it is possible to apply for financial support for a collaborative project involving two or more member institutions of the cluster (up to a maximum of $15,000).
Before submitting a project, it is essential to contact the PRESE’s coordination office to confirm the availability of funds and the eligibility of your idea. You will receive support to optimise your chances of obtaining financial support.
Eligibility criteria
The project must be submitted by an employee of one of the PRESE member institutions. It must be carried out collaboratively and involve at least two PRESE member institutions.
Your project must target at least one of the following objectives:
- promote access to higher education, particularly for underrepresented groups (e.g. indigenous students, first-generation students, people with disabilities, people from rural areas, women in STEM, men in general, etc.)
- improve the seamlessness of training pathways and ensure smooth, high-quality transitions to strengthen student retention in higher education
- respond to national and regional needs relating to career preparation in academic programming, particularly in the context of qualification or requalification, providing access to lifelong learning
- Bring CEGEPs and universities closer to secondary education. Deploy collaborative promotion and recruitment strategies in higher education.
Funding Decisions
For finance to be attributed, the project must undergo an evaluation by the PRESE Executive Committee. Responses are generally given two weeks after the proposal.
